Hands positioning in Bound and Tripod headstand
Bound headstand:
▪️One straight line between shoulders, elbows and hands
▪️Hands, shoulders distance apart from each other
▪️Bend the elbows till you reach the mat with your forearm. The elbows keep pulling towards each other, be aware of their position, it’s narrower than you think.
▪️Interlace the fingers, creating a little nest for your head. Place the crown of the head on the floor and lift up the butt.
NB if you want to check if your elbows are distancing correctly, bend the forearm one next to each other and try to hug the elbow with opposite hands.
Tripod headstand:
▪️Start on your hands and knees
▪️One straight line between shoulders, elbows and hands
▪️Hands, shoulders distance apart from each other
▪️Bend the elbows, shift the body weight forward, place the crown of the head on the floor and lift up the butt.
▪️The elbows keep pulling towards each other, be aware of their position.
