WARNING: BE MINDFUL DON’T PUSH TOO MUCH TOO SOON
Often I have been asked how I learned to sit on my bun.
First of all, I have a body structure that made the process easier for me. In fact, my torso is quiet short compared to my legs, which make easier for my bend so deeply. For taller people, or people with long torso perhaps it might take more practice.
Here two exercises inspired by my contortion practice.
Exercise 1
Chin stand with a block underneath the chin
This is an advanced exercise and shouldn’t be practiced if you can’t hold your chin stand yet.
Chest on the floor
Legs Overhead
Relax and sink deeper at each breath
Breathe x 10 times
Exercise 2
Puppy pose using two blocks underneath the chin
This is a great way to improve your upper back flexibility
Push your butt up and forward
Heels pushing forward
Belly in
Chest on the floor
Breathe X 10 Times
